TWO homeless men recovered a bag with guns on the side of a pavement in New Germany yesterday.
According to Pinetown Police communications officer, Lt Bongumusa Manqele, two pistols and 13 rounds of ammunition were found in New Germany near Pinetown.
“It is alleged that at about 2pm a driver (45) was stopped by two homeless men along High street and they showed him the bag, which they said they found on the pavement.
“The bag was already unzipped and two firearms, ammunition, a balaclava and clothing were found inside the bag,” said Manqele.
The guns as well as other items were handed to the Pinetown police station by the driver.
