Thomas More learners shine in Bonnie & Clyde musical

The learners got to show off all their talents.

Thomas More College staged Bonnie & Clyde, the Musical (Musical) recently.

“Bonnie and Clyde” is based on the true story of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow who committed a number of violent crimes in the US in the years of the Great Depression. They were given folk-hero status, because of their youth, love for each other, and the number of times they avoided capture until they eventually died together, after being gunned down.

Although Bonnie and Clyde were essentially villains, the focus of the musical was on the love story between them and their eventual demise.

The musical offered the learners a rich opportunity to challenge themselves vocally. The script also afforded learners who were talented in acting, dancing or playing a musical instrument an opportunity to shine.

The lead roles were played by Caitlin Hancock and Reece Coetzer.
