Powerful message delivered at SARDA fundraiser

Knowledge is Power was the message, delivered loud and clear by Johann von Bargen, aka The Traffic Guy from East Coast Radio, at the South African Riding for the Disabled Durban branch’s fundraising breakfast held recently at Le Domaine, Hillcrest.

Guests were treated to champagne and delicious eats before getting to meet JVB in person and listen to his words of wisdom on how to avoid becoming a hi-jack victim and, in the worst case scenario, how to behave in that situation.

Fiona Muhl, chairwoman of SARDA Durban thanked Jaco van Buuren of Honda Auto Pinetown who were the main sponsor, other business supporters for their contributions to the event and the many guests in attendance.

Muhl said “The support of the business community and individuals by sponsorship and donations and attendance at events ensures the unique ‘therapy in motion’ programme offered to schools for children with special needs throughout Durban can continue, providing a form of therapy that would otherwise not be available for the children. The organization is operated by volunteers with no paid employees and no charge is made to the schools or families.”
