Doone Village hosts annual fete

Doone Village's annual fete takes place on Saturday 25 October from 8.30am to noon.

IT’S that time of year again, when Doone Village in Pinetown hosts its annual fete at Beare Drive, Pinetown on Saturday 25 October from 8am to noon.

There’s plenty of bargains for all – from homemade cakes, preserves, plants, gifts, jewellery, needlework, children stalls, knitting, books, a lucky dip stall, popular Christmas stalls and many bargains at the White Elephant stall – which are prepared by all the convenors and helpers/residents at Doone Village.

Visit the refreshment stall from 8am where there will be bacon and egg rolls on sale, and during the morning hamburger rolls, boerewors rolls and ice-cream will be on sale. There will also be a tea garden by the pool.

There’s great raffles including a bumper Christmas goodies hamper and a chance to win a holiday at two popular resorts.

The art group will have an exhibition in the library and art will be on sale.

Contact the fete convenors, Rosemarie Hendry on 031 737 2705 or Ida Mabbett on 031 737 2616.
