Leadership semi-finals at Northlands Girls' High School.
MICHAELA Christophers (Grade 11), Rebecca Harvey (Grade 11) and Lauren Ackermann (matric) represented Waterfall College at the KZN Toastmasters’ Youth Leadership semi-finals at Northlands Girls’ High School recently.
The trio went up against six other KZN high schools. Michaela Christophers won the impromptu contest, and will compete in the KZN finals in November.
“Well done girls, you did us proud! This is the first time that Waterfall College has participated at a regional level in Toastmasters.
“The course is extremely popular as pupils learn both public speaking and leadership skills, and receive certificates from Toastmasters’ International which can boost their credentials in the job market,” said Jeanette van der Merwe, the principal of the school.
