THREE pupils from Pinetown Boys’ High School participated in the semi-finals of the Toastmasters’ leadership course.
This is an internationally recognised course that prepares individuals to develop confidence in speaking and to hone their leadership skills.
All the boys performed exceptionally with Sibusiso Sibisi winning the evaluation contest, Ndabenhle Zondi won the Speech segment and Andiswa Buthelezi was third in the impromptu speech.
Public relations officer at PBHS, Thyra Knowles, said what made this contest even more interesting was that these were the only boys in the competition and their win clearly bears testimony to the fact that boys are as adept at public speaking as girls,” she said.
Sibusiso and Ndabenhle will represent their school at the finals on Saturday 22 November.
“We wish the boys everything of the best in the competition,” added Knowles.
