Inspiring photographic talent on display

Inspiring photographic talent of KZN’s pupils will be on display at Kearsney College next week from 22 to 27 September.

AN exhibition showcasing the inspiring photographic talent of KZN’s pupils will be on display at Kearsney College next week from 22 to 27 September.

Nearly 300 entries, in five categories, were submitted by high school photographers around the province who have used the opportunity to showcase their creativity and talent. The competition forms part of Culture@Kearsney.

Some outstanding entries were received from photographers at Westville Boys’ and Girls’ High, Pinetown Boys’ High School, Hillcrest High School, Danville Park, Maris Stella, Glenwood, St Johns, Carter High and Kearsney College.

Prize winners in the photographic competition will be announced on Monday evening, 22 September. The exhibition is open to the public next week from Monday to Saturday, between 9am and 7pm in the Greyhound Pavilion at Kearsney College, Botha’s Hill. Entry is free.

Earlier this year, Kearsney College launched Culture@Kearsney, a celebration of the vibrant and dynamic arts scene in KZN schools. The programme aims to enrich the development of the arts in all its forms – including a battle of the bands, one-act plays, dance festival, art exhibition and a primary and high schools choral festival.
