A GRADE 8 pupil, Rylan Odayan, at Star College Boys’ High School, excelled in the 2014 World Knowledge Olympiad held recently.
He came first in KwaZulu-Natal and second in South Africa in his grade.
When asked why he thought he did so well in the World Knowledge Olympiad, Rylan said, “I read the newspapers every morning as well as on my phone. I also enjoy watching documentaries and sports programmes on television.”
It is with this achievement that Rylan has been chosen as the SPAR Star of the Month.
Star College pupils in the following grades were also ranked in the top three of their grade. They are Nqoba Sanda Mandlakayise Luthuli (Grade 10 -second), Sibusiso Nkosi (Grade 10 – third) and Nikhil Singh (Grade 12 – third).
The school congratulated Rylan, Nqoba, Sibusiso and Nikhil on their outstanding achievements.
