LIV choir fundraising evening

Enjoy a range of contemporary South African music.

Organised by Crawford music coordinator, Nina Watson, ‘Urban Pops celebrates Heritage Day’ will be presented at the Sibaya theatre, on Tuesday, 23 September at 6.30pm.

The KZN Youth Orchestra teams up with students from Crawford’s Northcoast College and preparatory schools, to present this fundraising concert for the L I V choir.

The audience will be entertained by the young stars in a tapestry of contemporary South African music, song and dance. There will be a selection of Afrikaans songs, some Zulu and traditional African works including ‘Zebra Crossing’ , ‘Pata Pata’ and ‘Siyahamba’ and there will be music from the pop and jazz genres too including such evergreens as ‘Over the Rainbow’, ‘Sway’ and ‘Take 5’.

Proceeds of the evening will be donated to LIV (a holistic residential care facility for orphaned and vulnerable children) to enable their choir to attend a competition overseas.
