Pavilion responds to armed robbery

Pavilion management is on high alert.

THE general manager of the Pavilion Shopping Centre, Nisha Kemraj, responded to the R270 000 armed robbery at the centre today.

“The management of the Pavilion is deeply concerned to hear about the unfortunate incident that occurred outside the entrance to the banking hall today.

The immediate action of our security personnel resulted in the South African Police Services being swiftly called to the scene. A full investigation is underway and we have contributed the CCTV footage of the incident.

We note that there are increasing reports of criminals targeting shopping malls around the country. As the Pavilion Shopping Centre we are on high alert and will do all in our power to ensure that the Pavilion is a safe and secure shopping environment for our valued shoppers and tenants. At the same time, we would like to urge all shoppers to be vigilant at all times.”

The alleged robbers are still at large.
