Highway Aged’s cash prize winners announced

HIGHWAY Aged drew its winners for the win-a-cash-prize ticket book competition at Knowles SuperSpar on 31 August.
Bert Trigarat won the first prize of R15 000, Lereece Pillay received R10 000 for second place, Kaiuran Naidoo received R5 000 for the third spot and Mark Liptrot was drawn as the consolation prize winner and received a hamper.
Kevin Moodley, general manager at Highway Aged, thanked the public for their support. He said through the public’s support, Highway Aged was able to raise an amount of R75 000.
Highway Aged has now launched its Spring hamper drive and will be selling Spring hampers for the next six weeks. They will also be hosting a race day at the Classic Restaurant at Greyville Race Course on Sunday 5 October. Tables of 10 can be purchased at R3500. “We need public support once again to make this event a success,” said Moodley.
Also, as part of the service delivery programme, the Highway Aged is also hosting a generational programme for senior citizens at Savannah Park Senior Citizen’s Club on Wednesday 10 September at 10.30am, which includes a programme by Savannah Park Senior Secondary School in partnership with Blue Rose Dance Academy.
In commemoration of Honour the Aged Month in October, Highway Aged is hosting a sports day for senior citizens at the Chatsworth Stadium on Thursday 30 October. A total number of 30 senior citizens clubs comprising 450 individuals are invited to the event. All attendees will receive a goodie bag on arrival and a meal at lunch time. Highway Aged is appealing to the public and businesses for donations in order to purchase 450 units of items for the goodie bags as well as to cover costs of the meal provided.
