A DURBAN-based drama teacher, who was arrested for being in possession of child pornography, recently appeared at the Durban Magistrate’s Court to apply for bail.
The 48-year-old man was arrested last month after child pornography was allegedly found on his laptop. Some of the content allegedly involved photos of boys, while there were also videos in which the teacher can be seen performing sexual acts.
Since police began their investigations into the case, more people are believed to have come forward with information which could be used to strengthen the case against the teacher.
He now faces 11 charges, which include possession of child pornography, procuring child pornography and the creation of child pornography.
The case was adjourned until Monday 8 September.
