Authors to converge at Focus on the Family
Focus on the Family hosts authors.
Nine authors will be present at Focus on the Family’s Bookstore, 32 Old Main Road Hillcrest, on Saturday, 30 August from 9am to 2pm.
Featured Authors include:
Mos van Schoor– Has worked as Editor and Editor- in- chief of various South African newspapers. He is a devoted Christian writer and has edited many Christian Books. His book “Think and Pray” is about encouragement for life today.
Karen Tocknell– Author of “My Moquini” is a book about a yacht that went missing off the southern tip of Madagascar. Captured by the media across the world the story was depicted as a tragedy with a hopeless end. Yet for Karen and her young family it has become a story of endless hope.
Lauren Smith– Has worked as a Christian counselor to street children in Johannesburg and in children’s ministry for more than 10 years. She has a master’s degree in natural medicine and runs a family practice. Author of “Your parenting Coach” – restoring the heart of the relationship.
Gavin Kruger– Worked with Focus on the Family as a primary No Apologies facilitator which is a program geared toward the youth. He has also written other books namely “Story of Hope”, “Jacob’s Badge” and “Parenting with Assurance”.
Bongi Mhlongo– Author of the very first Zulu marriage book- “Umshado Wami,Umshado Wakho”. She carries a passion to see marriages and families thrive.
Gary Steyn– A pastor, publisher and entrepreneur, who came from a very challenging background and shares his inspiring story in “From Pickering to Picking a Ring”.
Jaci Mun-Gavin– Author of “Purposeful Parenting” and a blogger, publisher and writer of www.theparentingwebsite.com. She is a motivational speaker and offers Godly wisdom and encouragement to parents.
Brad Sadler– An amazing motivator and unbelievable communicator. He has taken his darker moments in life and used them to uplift others.
Mel Singh– Author of “Women the gateway to change nations”. Her primary call is to empower ,encourage and equip women from every sector of society to fulfill their kingdom destiny. She has a heart for succession and engages all women in a mentoring capacity.
