Avoid traffic during SPAR women’s race

Get to the SPAR women's race early to avoid traffic.

WITH the SPAR Women’s 10/5km race around the corner, people have been urged to try and get to the race site early and use the open public spaces to meet and socialise.

The race will take place on Sunday 24 August at the Sahara Stadium in Durban and getting there early will mean that it will help solve the traffic congestion as there will be 17500 runners.

All roads around the start/finish area will be closed from 4am.

From 2am on Sunday, organisers will start closing off the Snell Parade/Blue Lagoon area. All main roads are expected to be re-opened by 11am.

Road access to the Sahara Stadium will remain closed until 12pm.
