Man arrested for stabbing his colleague

The man allegedly stabbed his co-worker and threatened to shoot him

A 37-YEAR-OLD man was arrested at his house in Luganda, Mariannhill after he stabbed his colleague.

According to Pinetown SAPS communications officer, Lt Bongumusa Manqele, the man was arrested yesterday by Pinetown detectives for attempted murder and intimidation.

“It is alleged that the victim (26) was leaving his workplace, Malcolm Road, Westmead when he was approached by his colleague.

“It is alleged that the suspect pulled a sharp object and stabbed the victim in the chest and also threatened to shoot the victim.

“The victim was rushed to hospital where he was treated and discharged,” said Manqele.

The man was arrested the following day and charged with attempted murder and intimidation and is expected to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court.
