Toddler injured in Pinetown collision

ER24 paramedics treated seven people for various injuries after two cars collided last night.

A ONE-YEAR-OLD boy and six others were injured when two vehicles collided head-on while travelling along the N3 near Pinetown last night.

According to Russel Meiring, media spokesman for ER24, two ambulances were dispatched to the scene and when they arrived, the injured commuters were sitting around their damaged vehicles.

He reported that one of the vehicles lay on the side of the road while the other was on an embankment about 200 metres away from the first vehicle.

The paramedics assessed them and noted that seven people, from both vehicles, had minor to moderate injuries.

“Paramedics treated their injuries and transported them to King Edward Hospital as well as RK Khan Hospital,” said Meiring. The local SAPS were at the scene and will investigate.
