Jacques leads SA U18 hockey team

Westville Boys' High School has chosen Grade 12 pupil, Jacques Bleeker, as its SPAR Star of the Month.

WESTVILLE Boys’ High School’s 1st XI hockey captain, Jacques Bleeker, was selected for the SA U18 hockey team and made captain.

His dream is to play in the Olympics and the 18-year-old pupil, took one step closer to attaining this in the holidays after captaining the SA U18 hockey side.

He is also captain of the WBHS 1st XV, has 50 caps for the team, is a leader at school and head of a grade.

Despite all this, Jacques still aspires to get six distinctions at the end of matric this year. He also plays 1st soccer and indoor hockey and went to the SA Youth Olympics this year.

It is with these achievements that Jacques has been named the SPAR Star of the Month at his school.
