TODDLERS and staff at the Speckled Frogs Daycare recently supported the Santa Cause for Paw’s Christmas in July Collection campaign. Dozens of blankets and pet food were donated by the altruistic youngsters, to help keep the animals at the shelters warm and well fed during the cold winter months.
Santa Cause for Paws is an organisation that collects and distributes animal food, blankets and toys to homeless animals, who are housed at various shelters in the upper Highway area.
“We believe in teaching our children from an early age the importance of giving back to the community and helping those less fortunate than ourselves, which includes our furry friends. The children held their heads up high while carrying in their contribution towards Santa Cause for Paws,” said Bridget Spangehl, owner of the centre.
