The alleged hijackers of a 64-year-old Toti man were reportedly spotted in Pinetown at the weekend.

The alleged hijackers of a 64-year-old Amanzimtoti man were allegedly spotted at a Pinetown shopping centre at the weekend.

According to the Southlands Sun, Philip Roworth spent three days in the intensive care unit at Kingsway Hospital after he was allegedly held captive, attacked and robbed by two young men he had given a lift to in May.

He suffered four broken ribs, pins in his arm and some loss of sight in one eye.

A photo from a surveillance camera allegedly identifying the criminal duo has been circulating on social media, and the two young men identified in the photo were reportedly seen at a Pinetown shopping centre on Saturday.

Roworth opened a case at Amanzimtoti police station, however this could not be confirmed by the police as their system was offline.
