Nurses receive hearty award

The nurses have been recognised for their outstanding nursing care and are ambassadors for the profession.

LIFE Healthcare KZN recently held a Great 100 Nurses’ Awards where nurses are recognized as nursing ambassadors for Life Healthcare and the profession at large.

The award recognizes nurses for transforming nursing care at the bedside and for striving towards the improvement of patient outcomes. As a recipient of the award, nurses commit to uphold the nursing profession at all times, striving for clinical excellence, maintaining integrity and confidentiality, acting as role models and leading nursing care.

Award recipients from Life The Crompton Hospital were Logie Ganapathy and Dudu Mavundla. Award recipients from Life Westville Hospital were Maxine Shanglee and Jacqueline Leyland.

“We are so proud of all 14 of the KZN winners of this prestigious annual award. The nurses have been recognised for their outstanding nursing care and are ambassadors for the profession. We hope that their achievement and commitment to nursing will inspire other nurses to work towards achieving nursing excellence,” said Leanne Nyiri, regional marketing manager for Life Healthcare.
