Biker killed in Field’s Hill crash
ER24 paramedics rushed to an accident scene which involved a severely injured biker at the weekend.
A BIKER was killed in a collision along the M13 on Field’s Hill yesterday afternoon.
According to the ER24 paramedics on the scene, the biker was travelling towards Kloof when the accident took place.
The paramedics stopped on the Pinetown bound side of the freeway, where the man was said to be lying unconscious next to his Harley Davidson.
“They immediately performed advanced life support on the man, who showed weak vital signs, and once he was stable enough they transported him to Albert Luthuli Hospital.
‘En route to the hospital, the biker’s vital signs deteriorated and CPR was performed on him until they arrived at the hospital,” said Luyanda Majija, media spokesman for ER24.
She said there were ongoing attempts to resuscitate him when he was in the hospital but he later died due to the severity of his injuries.
