The Democratic Alliance in KwaZulu-Natal has written to provincial Transport MEC, Willies Mchunu, after having been approached by several local residents regarding the condition of Old Main Road, Hillcrest where it intersects with Inanda Road.
While residents clearly appreciate the upgrades currently underway in Hillcrest Park and Delamore Road they are rightfully concerned about this progressively deteriorating road that forms the community’s socio-economic hub.
This project was due for completion some five years ago during construction of the Hillcrest Centre. Yet it remains incomplete and unattended to.
The DA has requested that the MEC look into this situation as a matter of urgency and report back on what will be done to rectify the problem.
