Sponsors needed for SA Performing Art Champs

Sponsors are needed to send talented performers to Hollywood finals.

CURRO Hillcrest Christian Academy pupils achieved some outstanding achievements at the SA Championships of Performing Arts.

Each year SAATME (South African Association of Talent Modelling and Entertainment) holds the South African Championships of Performing Arts for all keen performers who are passionate in the fields of dancing, acting, singing, modelling, including Miss Teen SA or playing an instrument. This is the only competition in the country that opens a door to opportunities worldwide.

The following Curro HCA pupils, who participated in the South African finals during the April holidays have qualified as part of the SA Team: Cassidy Phillips – 3 silver, 4 bronze; Rachel Nel – 2 gold, 3 silver; Timothy Edley – 3 silver, 2 bronze; Michaela Duggan – 1 bronze; Siobhan Duckitt – 1 silver, 1 bronze; Bianca Rasmussen – 1 gold, 1 silver; Bianca Almanza – 1 gold, 1 bronze; Teah Veronesi – 1 bronze; Tyron van der Walt – 1 bronze; Bailey Hall – 1 gold; Mrs Shylo Pereira, who teaches Drama and Music at the Curro HCA High School – 9 gold.

These pupils have been selected to compete in the World Championships, to be held in July in Hollywood, LA. Mrs Pereira won a ticket to the World Championships with her 9 gold medal performances.
