KHS pupils flexes brainy brawn

One of Kloof High School's Grade 10 teams took top honours at a forum discussion event recently.

TWO teams represented Kloof High School at the annual forum discussion event at Westville Boys’ High School recently.

Other teams which competed were Westville Girls’ High School, Durban High School, Pinetown Girls’ High School, Our Lady of Fatima, St Benedict High School and the hosts, Westville Boys’ High School.

The winning team from Kloof High School consisted of Hannah Tiedt (chairman), Rachel Burger, Megan Moffett, and Cameron Moonsammy. Their topic for the evening was ‘Travelling there is better than arriving’. During the discussion they spoke about the obstacles that people faced and how these created memories. They also discussed goals and how people they meet would influence the goals they set for themselves. The judges were most impressed with the way the team controlled the discussion, interacted with the audience and the relaxed manner in which they presented an excellent discussion.

“We congratulate the forum speakers who are doing Kloof High School proud,” said Dawn Lefort, principal of Kloof High School.
