  1. Could the Time Trial Cycling event not be held somewhere else? The closure of the M13 on a friday morning is very frustrating, causing major gridlocking on an already busy route. For a silly 18km ride, could the route not have been held in a quieter area?! For this reason alone I am not interested in supporting this.

  2. This was simply a “dumb-ass” idea. How much time and fuel was wasted by people having to wait in bumper to bumper traffic on a Friday morning in an extremely busy suburban area. I just don’t get it !!!. How many people could not get time off work to take part??
Surely there must be areas where so much catastrophe could be avoided. I just wonder who is bribing who???

  3. The road M13 closure this morning was horrific!!! Surely any fool could foresee what Jan Hofmeyer Rd would be like and cause thousands of litres of expensive petrol to be wasted. Permission for this should never have been granted by the Metro Police My husband took 3 HOURS to take my grandson to Westville Boys’High from Maryvale Rd Dawncliffe and to return. He had our dog with him who was becoming extremely stressed.

  4. Comrades can’t take place on a Saturday because it is a trading day, so how can a cycle race commandeer the main road into Westville for 2 trading days? They must use the old Airport runways next time or inside a stadium. Cyclists don’t pay road licence fees so motorists should come first. Some official did not think this through when the race was approved as their ill thought decision caused a lot of anger and delays.
