UPDATE: Hillcrest store manager remains missing

BLUFF Meat Supply Hillcrest store manager, Ian Henry, has been reported missing by his family.

According to Steven King of the Waterfall Crime Watch, Ian left the Hillcrest store on Monday 20 January just after 12pm, to attend a meeting at the BMS Select store in Springfield Park, but he never arrived at the meeting.

According to a circulating message, Ian is a Bluff resident who works in the Hillcrest area. He was last seen driving a silver Corsa bakkie with registration NPN 11597. The vehicle did not have a tracker or signage. Henry had no identification him, and his cellphone has been switched off.

His wife, Trish (45) said he was wearing his Bluff Meat Supply uniform which is a standard white shirt and white pants with his name printed in red on the front of his shirt. However, Ian did carry a change of clothes in his car – a pair of jeans and a shirt.

She added that the family has not been able to reach him, which is ‘totally out of character.’

“He always phones me when he travels to a meeting and lets me know he has arrived safely. When he didn’t call on Monday, I began to worry. It’s now been more than 24 hours since we last saw him,” said Trish.

Ian and Trish have two children – a daughter, Chanel (24) and son, Chad (18). Ian is a partner in the Bluff Meat Supply business and also manages the Hillcrest store.

All community crime watch groups were alerted by Debbie Pears, one of the general managers at Bluff Meat Supply. According to a circulating message, Ian is a Bluff resident who works in the Hillcrest area.

Hillcrest Police Station has been notified. If you have spotted this vehicle, please contact Steven King on 082 920 5799 or the police on 031 361 0000 or 10111.
