Skyfall kitten finds new home

A 10-week old kitten, which was dropped on a verge outside the Westville Veterinary Hospital by a crowned eagle, has found a new home with the Kilmister family from Gillitts.

THE little kitten that was dropped by a crowned eagle three weeks ago has found a new home with a family from Gillitts.

According to Jonathan Kilmister, his mother read the article in the Highway Mail and when she saw the photo of the kitten, she felt an immediate connection and knew then she wanted to adopt it.

“We followed the adoption process and waited a week for the owners to claim it, but the kitten was always on my mother’s mind. She called every day to find out how it was doing and if the owners had come forward,” said Jonathan.

After 10 days of waiting, the Westville Veterinary Hospital finally called the Kilmister family to let them know they were the lucky family chosen to home the kitten.

“We were very fortunate to home the kitten. We wanted to name him Lucky, but thought that his character was more brave to fight off a crowned eagle, but sadly have not found a name suitable for him as yet,” said Jonathan.

The Kilmister family also have two other cats, Skyla and Tigger, which were also adopted during the festive period.

“This is out third feline friend, and I think it’s quite festive to adopt a pet at Christmas time, and encourage others out there to do the same,” said Jonathan.

The kitten, which is 10 weeks old, is already fond of his new home. It’s very playful and affectionate, loves to cuddle and chase its new feline friends.
