THE Post Office situated at Linkhills Shopping Centre in Waterfall has temporarily been relocated to a mobile unit at the Linkhills Mall (next to Engen garage and Tyre Mart).
Nobuhle Njapha, of the SA Post Office in KwaZulu-Natal, confirmed that the mobile unit is now online and fully functional.
“Residents will be able to perform simple tasks such as buying stamps, paying for their TV licences and sending parcels,” said Njapha.
According to Njapha the post office will be run from the mobile unit until the permanent venue is completed.
According to Gill Noyce, PR Councillor for ward 8, the old venue of the post office has been a major concern for residents, for many years.
“It was always unsafe and maintenance was always an issue. It was never maintained,” said Noyce.
