Rehab centre grateful for Round Table donation
Several disabled, disadvantaged families have had their lives improved with a generous donation.
THE lives of several disadvantaged families who attend Khethiwe Rehab Centre for Children in Mariannhill have been improved thanks to a donation by Kloof Round Table of three positioning chairs and two sidelyers.
Not only will it benefit the disabled children, some of whom suffer from cerebral palsy, with improving their posture and breathing, but the wheels at the base allow for movability so their family members and carers can move them with greater ease. The sidelyers are going to children who due to the severity of their disability are unable to sit up right or be placed in a wheelchair.
Glenys Ross, manager and therapist at Khethiwe said, “It is just amazing! This is taking us to the next level and we are able to give the children something to take home which will make a huge difference in their lives and their family’s lives and takes them off lying on the bed all day. We are just so grateful.”
