Matrics enter a whole new world

It was an evening of glitz and glam at Kloof High School's matric dance recently.

KLOOF High School was totally transformed as its Grade 12 learners and their dates donned their finest for the Arabian night’s themed matric dance.

Liam Reddy, a Grade 11 learner at the school who has Ewing’s Sarcoma, was invited to participate in his pre-matric dance. His date for the evening was the stunning DJ Carly-O.

“It was such an enjoyable night and in life we tend to take things for granted, but I have learnt to cherish all of the small things,” he said.

Kloof High School’s principal, Dawn Lefort, said, “A victim of aggressive cancer, Liam, is a truly courageous young man who has won the love and respect of us all.”
