Seminar proves knowledge is power

Dozens of students gathered for an exciting day of empowering talks and entertainment at the Pinetown Civic Centre recently.

HUNDREDS of youngsters gathered at the Pinetown Civic Centre for the Pine-West Youth Economic Empowerment and Advisory Desk’s youth first seminar.

In a bid to empower the youth, the event was focussed on the dissemination of information. To achieve this, government and municipal officials as well as people from the private sector were invited to speak.

Once the formal activities were over, the day ended off with a smooth transition into a mini celebration that included live music and entertainment.
