THE Westville Swimming Pool was the place to be for families during this festive season.
Families from around Durban spent most of their holiday relaxing with their picnic baskets while children enjoyed their time in the water.
No drownings and serious incidents were reported. New Year’s Day was the busiest day at the pool with 1097 visitors.
One of the visitors, Wendy Ngcobo said she enjoyed the atmosphere at the Westville pool and the children had loads of fun.
“This was my first time here as I am from Pietermaritzburg but I really loved this place. It is well maintained and clean.
The pools are expected to still be popular among many families until schools reopen on Wednesday, 17 January.
