HAP hood’s fun day draws crowds

There were more than 100 flea-market stalls to browse through.

HUNDREDS of people gathered at the successful HAP and the Hoods Family Fun Day at Gelofte School on Saturday, 1 July.

The event was a collaboration between Hattons, Ashley, Pineridge Mariannhill Park, Glen Park, Mosely and ProAct Neighbourhood Watches along with the CCR-Community Control Room which is the joint communication forum for the neighbourhood watches.

There were 130 flea-market stalls and 20 NPOs including scouts, girl guides, Rescue Tech, ER24, Metro Fire Department, SAPS, Rave Rhino and Nick Evans, the ‘Snake Guy’.

There were 13 inflatable rides for older children and adults who are children at heart and a small kiddies play area.

Spectators also enjoyed demonstrations from the Metro Fire department and Rescue Tech, Nick Evans the Snake Guy, Woodlands Drummies, Breaking Pointe Dance Troupe, Swift K9, Drone Flying and Racing and Aikikai Aikido Karate Club.
