GALLERY: Pupils take a step into ancient Egypt

The Kloof Senior Primary School pupils had a fun-filled day as ancient Egyptians.

THE Grade 5 pupils at Kloof Senior Primary School took a step back in time when they enjoyed an Egypt-inspired morning recently.

The pupils went all out with their costumes and went to school dressed as kings, queens, slaves and Egyptian gods. There was also a variety of activities for them to take part in such as mummy wrapping, gold collar making, bag painting, excavation, hieroglyphic engraving, a maze, food tasting and even chariot races.

“If it wasn’t for our parents, this event would not have happened. They were in the hall days before setting up. They have definitely created an unforgettable experience for their children,” said Arianna Hardey, the Grade 5 coordinator.
