KIDZAID, a local NPO which helps AIDS orphans and vulnerable children, celebrated 10 years of service recently.

The trust was founded in 2004 in response to the plight of thousands of young children and babies who had been orphaned by HIV/AIDS. “Since our inception, we have supported projects that are well structured and accountable for the money we donate. Our main purpose is to provide funds to ensure that babies receive the feeding they need or that young children are given a nourishing meal once a day,” said Helen Lee, the chairman of KidZAid.

The trust donates a set amount each month to the 1000 Hills Community Helpers in Inchanga to purchase infant formula and a donation to the Community Outreach Centre, which is earmarked to provide a midday meal for the children.

If you would like to make a donation to the Trust, email kidzaid@mweb.co.za or visit its website at www.kidzaid.co.za.
