HUNDREDS of Durbanites flocked to the Roy Couzens Theatre at Westville Boys’ High School to watch the re-imagined and take on the tale of Romeo and Juliet.

The performance contained contemporary music, clothing and the integration social media brought the play to life. Show-goers were also encouraged to live tweet and upload selfies during the show.

With a strong cast and outstanding performances from all the pupils who took part, and a soundtrack that pulled the audience into the play, made it one of the school’s best shows to date. Although some said the show was risque, it was well thought out, choreographed with perfection and tastefully represented so that teens and adults could enjoy it.
