Littlies celebrate their grandparents

IT was a grand day of fun and laughter for the children at Hillcrest Pre-Priamry School when they celebrated Gandparent's Day recently.

The littlies sat in their colour group circles and sang to their grandparents, recited poetry and described what made their grandparents special.
The day was initiated to show the children’s development since joining the school and to create some quality time for them to spend together.

“It means so much to the children to have their grandparents here. Grandaparents, these days, are also very involved with their grandchildren, from picking them up and dropping them off to paying for their school fees. It is a small way in which we extend our thanks to them for all that they do,” said Janet Van Rooyen, principal at Hillcrest Pre-Primary School.
