Retirement home’s market offers variety

The market was held to raise funds for projects in the APN Retirement Home.

MORE than 25 stalls were set up at the APN Retirement Home Winter Market on Saturday, August 3. The day offered a variety of things, from freshly baked cakes to handcrafted items.

There were also small businesses showcasing their products.

APN Retirement Home’s Charmaine Camper said they host markets to raise funds for projects in the home.

“The last market was held to help start a new vegetable garden. Although the turnout was small, we thank everyone who took out of their time to support our market and made a contribution with money or cakes.”

She added that they plan to have a another market on November 30 which will be combined with the New Germany Lutheran Church.
