Fatal car accident claims two lives in Hillcrest

Two cars collided forming a T-bone structure at the corner of Inanda Road and Westriding Road in the Hillcrest area.

TWO people have died in a horrific collision at the corner of Inanda road and Westriding Road in the Hillcrest area just before 06:00 on Friday July 5.

According to ALS Paramedics spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson two vehicles had collided in a T-bone formation.

“Two men believed to be in their 30s and 40s in a small SUV were found to be severely entrapped, and paramedics immediately assisted them however both of them had sustained major injuries. There was nothing paramedics could do for them and they were declared deceased on the scene.

“The second driver had sustained moderate injuries and was stabilised on scene and was rushed to a nearby hospital,” he reported.

Jamieson said the events leading to the accident are unknown but SAPS members are on the scene and will be investigating further.
