Queensburgh pastor calls for unity and assistance for needy

Evangelist Dietmar Müller has appealed to churches to unite so they can reach and assist more impoverished people.

KINGDOM Life Fellowship (KLF) Evangelist Dietmar Müller has called upon churches to unite and help impoverished people in their areas.

The plea comes after Müller said he had witnessed many people in the Queensburgh area struggling to get a simple essential meal.

KLF’s lead pastor, with some church members, is involved with the community as they are always out on the streets helping people with meals, clothes and spiritual upliftment.

However, he has noticed that most of the people are not from the area, and they come from places such as Umbilo, Seaview, Montclair, The Bluff and other areas.

“We do not have a problem helping where possible. The church will be more impactful when churches collaborate and stand together and help people closer to their homes.”

Müller stated that although they have always been out on the streets assisting underprivileged people, the demand has increased, especially after the Covid-19 Pandemic, with many people losing their jobs and their loved ones. He added that people who wish to assist with non-perishable food and clothing items can drop them off at 17 Hopewell Road, Malvern.

“So many other people are battling to make ends meet,” he said.

“People have given up, they have anxiety, they are stressed and are going around with depression, and they are carrying a lot of weight on their shoulders – someone needs to guide them, give them hope and uplift their spirits.”

Because of this, Müller said he wants churches to provide people with guidance and spiritual upliftment.

Müller calls for all members of the church in Durban and surrounds to either join them in prayer, give towards this cause or come and join them when they go out into the communities.

“We are stronger together,” he added.

Müller can be contacted on 073 457 5863.
