Golfers tee off for a good cause

The Boytjie Brand Golf Day will benefit iKhethelo Children's Village which is a safe haven for vulnerable children.

IKHETHELO Children’s Village is a chosen beneficiary for The Boytjie Brand Golf Day which is set to be held at the Kloof Country Club on Friday, June 23.

The children’s village is based in the Valley of 1000 Hills and is a safe haven for vulnerable children.

This home was established more than 20 years ago and cares for between 45 and 47 children from two years to 19 years old.

The home’s CEO, Graeme Wright, said the children are brought to them by social workers, and they are all vulnerable children who have lost their parents, have been mentally or physically abused and have HIV.

Founder of The Boytjie Brand Tyrone Rudolph said the clothing brand was established in November 2021, and with the support that they have received from the public worldwide, it was only fitting that they also do something to support a charity organisation.

The excited Rudolph said they were looking forward to this special day.

“We have sold out our field at 132 players, and more than 50 sponsors are involved; we are truly taken aback by the support of local companies for our golf event! We even have a car up for grabs – for a hole-in-one prize as well as goodie bags valued at R2 000 each per golfer.

“Our community is amazing, and we cannot thank them enough for the continued support we get for our brand!” he said.

“We encourage people and businesses to continue the spirit of giving to the underprivileged and to support local,” added Rudolph.
