Dog rescue organisations team up for a massive fundraiser

The public is invited to join in the fun that will help Durban dog rescue organisations continue their work.

THE Blue Bundu Brigade Animal Rescue and Rehoming organisation, together with eight other animal rescue organisations, will be hosting a fundraiser at The Barnyard, Suncoast, in Durban KZN. Taking place on April 2, the fundraiser will assist each rescue organisation with much-needed funds to cover the running of the organisation and the primary healthcare and treatment of the rescue animals.

These animal rescue organisations include Animal Antics, Animally Haven, Bluff Rescue Kennels, Four Paws Rescue, Khetani Animal Rescue, Paws a Plenty Rescue and Rehoming, Stray Paws Rescue and Welfare, The Blue Bundu Brigade Animal Rescue and Rehoming and The KZN Doghouse.

Each rescue organisation covers the greater Durban area, assisting in the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of dogs and cats.
Organiser Karen Janisch said support is needed as they continue to help the abandoned, abused and neglected animals in our community.

“We encourage companies to get involved by taking part in a team-building outing for their employees. This is also a great time for families and friends to enjoy some quality time together. We are also looking for sponsors to donate prizes towards our raffle which will take place on the day.”

The public is invited to enjoy the Simply the Best show of live music tributed to Michael Jackson, Elton John, Tina Turner, Cher and Meatloaf. This will be followed by a raffle with awesome prizes to be won, and the ticket will only cost R10 each. The organisations will also have a presentation to display the dogs available for adoption.

Please contact Karen on 062 436 8810 via WhatsApp or via email at bluebundubrigade@gmail.com if you would like to assist. Tickets are on sale now – they can be purchased via any one of the rescue organisations listed.
