Painting the Rainbow Nation
The Robin Hood Foundation had a fun time with different schools in the Highway area as they embarked on their Paint the Rainbow Nation Campaign.
PINETOWN Primary School was part of a group of schools that was painted beautifully during the Robin Hood Foundation’s ‘Paint the Rainbow Nation’ Campaign. The campaign saw the painting of the inside walls of three schools in Inanda, the entire inside of a special orphanage, two school libraries and a crèche, as well as stunning murals at Abambo Primary School in the Embo area.

Speaking about the campaign, Jackie of the foundation said they received a large donation of paint from StonCor Africa, through their incredible sponsor, SAPPI.
“On receipt of this massive donation of paint, we knew we had to turn this into another impactful Robin Hood Foundation project, so we started our ‘Paint the Rainbow Nation’ campaign.

“A team of loyal Robin Hood volunteers, along with a very talented artist, Kate Forsdyke, all donated their time and talent into producing this masterpiece. Debbie Cole from Powafix also very kindly donated the primary-colours paint we needed to top up on in order to produce this particular mural,” she said.
Jackie said they are very proud of the mural at Pinetown Primary School as it highlights the beautiful South African flag and all it symbolises, which is exactly how the Robin Hood Foundation heads into every project, with a wonderful sense of UBUNTU.
