Hockey players to showcase their talents in Hillcrest this weekend

High school and primary school hockey players will be thrilling spectators at Kearsney College from Friday.

TWENTY-TWO of South Africa’s top primary and high school sides are set to participate in the Kearsney Hockey Fives tournament.

This weekend, from Friday to Monday, 5 to 8 August, school hockey players will showcase their talents in the fourth annual festival taking place at Kearsney College, Botha’s Hill.

Participating boys’ high school teams are Grey College, Westville Boys High School, Clifton College,  Hoerskool Garsfontein, Kearsney College, DHS, Michaelhouse, St Alban’s College, Parktown Boys’ High School and Ashton International College.

Primary school teams taking part are Bonisanani Senior Primary School, Cordwalles Preparatory School for Boys, Cowan House Preparatory School, Curro Hillcrest, HCA, Highbury Preparatory School, Hillcrest Primary School, Kloof Senior Primary School, Reddam House Umhlanga, Glenwood Preparatory School, Westville Senior Primary School and Winston Park Primary School.

There is no charge for gate entrance, and ample secure parking will be available.  For those wanting to enjoy a day of entertaining hockey and a variety of snacks and hot food will be available at the hockey Astro and the campus coffee shop.
