BREAKING: Security guard shot in Mariannhill testing grounds
A suspect shot at a security guard after revving his car at a vehicle in the Mariannhill testing grounds.
A SUSPECT has been placed under arrest for attempted murder following a shooting at a testing ground in Mariannhill.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Colonel Nqobile Gwala said: “It is alleged that a suspect was busy revving his vehicle, and when he was reprimanded by the security guard, he fired shots. The security guard sustained injuries and was rushed to hospital.”
Gwala said the suspect would appear in court.

An eyewitness, who had gone to the testing grounds to apply for her driver’s licence, said: “I came in and saw the police speeding in. The place was cordoned off. This place is full of traffic police; they called for backup.”
