Round face

The goal is to lengthen your face because round faces have a similar length and width. Look for black frames when buying sunglasses because they narrow the face and harmonise the facial proportions. The following frames are recommended for those with round faces: cat-eyed, square, rectangular and angled glasses.

Oval face

Oval faces are similar to round faces but vary slightly. People with this sort of face are advised to choose frames that are in line with the eyebrows because the length of the face is slightly greater than the width. The frames that work well for an oval face are: cat-eyed,  round, oval and rectangular frames and glasses with smooth edges.

Square face

People with faces that are almost identical in length and width should choose round frames since they will help to visually balance and soften the facial proportions. The following frames are appropriate for square faces:  large glasses, glasses with a frame that is the same width as your face, coloured-framed glasses, oval, cat-eye, round and teardrop-shaped frames. Frame-free sunnies can work, as well.

Rectangular face

Making the face appear wider is necessary since the length of the face is bigger than its width. Large and round frames suit rectangular face shapes really well.

Heart-shaped face

The goal is to balance the upper section of the face as this portion is wider then the lower chin portion of the face. The following frames are appropriate for faces with a heart shape. Heart-shaped faces suit a wide variety of frames and sunnies. Round frames, slender frames and a bridge, low-set arms on sunnies, frames-free sunnies, and frames in bold or simple colours will accentuate the face shape.

Sunglasses possess a special magic. They have the ability to completely change your appearance; the correct pair may instantly boost your confidence and elevate even the best clothing. Stick to our guide so you can look fabulous this International Sunglasses Day!
