Man found dead in Caversham Road, police search for relatives

The 45-year-old security guard was allegedly shot by his colleague after an argument.

PINETOWN police are urgently looking for the relatives or family of the deceased who was found dead with gunshot wounds on Caversham Road in Pinetown on February 8.

According to Pinetown Cluster communications officer, Captain Bongumusa Manqele, the deceased was a 45-year-old security guard only known as Bongile Mtshuku.

“Mtshuku was in the company of his colleague coming from work from a betting shop in Pinetown. It is alleged that they had an argument with his colleague and the suspect pulled out a firearm and shot the deceased.”

“The deceased sustained two gunshot wounds to the head and he died at the scene. The deceased is believed to be from the Eastern Cape,” reported Manqele.

He said police have made several attempts to locate the family but no one has come  forward to identify the deceased.
