The community can volunteer to prepare breakfast and lunch on a Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Finally, people can buy books from the StreetLit vendors around town: follow DHC on Facebook to see where they are operating or look out for the bright green shirts. Every book you buy is helping a formerly homeless person stay off the streets.

Contact Illa Thompson about donations of books in good condition for our vendors at pubmatgal@gmail.com.

The centre especially needs dictionaries, popular novels, recipe books, children’s books, and novels in isiZulu.

Please do NOT deliver to the DHC or to book vendors directly. Contact the centre on 031 301 2240 for more details.
