Multiple gunshot wounds leave man critical
The man who is a security reaction officer was caught in a shootout with house robbers.
A MAN in his 30’s sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body, during an armed robbery in Pinetown today, February 3.
According to Netcare 911 spokesperson, Shawn Herbst the man, who is an armed reaction officer was ambushed while investigating an alarm activation in the area.

“A gunfight had broken out between multiple armed robbers and the reaction officer as he approached the property.
“The man, now in a critical condition, clinging to life, was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was stabilised,” said Herbst.
The patient was flown by Netcare 911 Helicopter ambulance to a specialist facility.
