Applications for eThekwini grant-in-aid funding now open

Applications for grants will be considered only if they are made on the prescribed form.

ARTS, culture, and heritage non-governmental and non-profit organisations, that fall within the eThekwini Municipality’s jurisdiction, are urged to apply for Grant-In-Aid funding.

The Grant-In-Aid funding aims to alleviate financial strain of organisations doing remarkable work to promote creative arts in communities.

“This work contributes positively towards the development and promotion of art, culture and heritage, especially in rural and township areas in the city,” said the eThekwini Municipality’s spokesperson, Msawakhe Mayisela.

The deadline is October 29 and application forms and guiding documents are accessible on the municipal website. Visit https://bit.ly/2Y6a420 or, alternatively, request the application link, via email, at Themba.Mchunu@durban.gov.za.

“Applicants are urged to read and understand the guiding document thoroughly before filling in the application form,” advised Mayisela

Completed application forms should be emailed to Themba.Mchunu@durban.gov.za by no later than October 29.

“No late submissions will be accepted after the closing date,” said the city spokesperson.
